Default I have 4 years and 30k miles left on my warranty. As soon as I decide whether to keep her...

or dump her before 100k will be the indicator on whether I MOD and make it a friggin street killer. The cost of redoing the motor and putting a mnaula tranny in her will be less than the cost of a new AUDI come 2008-9. I love the car, but the reliability sucks.

Default I don't know what to tell ya...It's your choice. Anyways, I

have to go to bed early so that I am not late for work tomorrow. Perhaps I will go to "my" dealer and have them give me their 0.2 Sorry I couldn't help you! Talk to you soon

Here are some possibilities:
Lifters
Timing Belt tensioner
AC compressor (It runs more than you think!)
Cooling fan
Cabin fan
loose cover (on engine, for example)
What everyone else has said
Water pump
Alternator
Those are the first ones that come to mind...

Default I'm at 89k and have had a ticking in the motor since 70k. Took it to 2 different

dealers and both said it was normal, supposedly all 42's make this noise. Then, i posted a thread about the dealer claiming that they bent some valves due to a ticking they heard, so they removed the head to check it out. 1 week later, no bent valves (so they say) and they claim that the ticking was from loose carbon buildup, and now the motor is back together, no more ticking, says the service writer. Can't wait to pick it up today (hopefully), it's been too long without the sound of the V8!

I wonder if my lifters are "bad" as well. I can feel "tapping" with my hand on the intake manifold
