Default 2.7 $499 lease special... anyone know the residual percentage & the money factor?

Want to pull the trigger and trade the trusty '98 A6 2.8Q on a ming 2.7. Want to go in properly informed so I can negotiate a 12k/ year lease.

What is the lease length for those residuals?

Default 39 months. I played around with lease length; could not find a "sweet spot".

I tried pmts at 24, 27, 36, 39, 42, 45, and 48 months; all were pretty close. The AFS finance people did their homework!

Default Thanks

The switch to 12k/ year is a no brainer. Should only alter the pmt 18-20 per month. Over 39 months that is $780. Go over the 10k/year by 2k/year at .25 per mile, costs you $1625 for the same miles (vs 780).

You might need to verify my residuals...I'm within 1% if not right on.

Default Remember why they do 39 months.....

Because you end up paying for a year of registration and only use 3 months! Here in CA, that's several hundred dollars.

Also saw an article recently that said leasing companies are adjusting residuals down across the board now that the world is full of off-lease cars.

...and also because the residual at 36 is the same as 39, giving you 3 more months to spread the pmt
