I posted this in the 2.7 forum but not much traffic so cross posting here.
I had my car tuned yesterday and they found a minor misfire on the 2,4,6 side of the motor, its all cylinders.
Not bad enough to set a light or cause a noticeable drop in performance but its there.
Tech suggested O2. He checked for leaks, DV's, etc and they all came back perfect. New turbo's, new EGT's, everything else checked out.
I do get what I feel is a hesitation of sorts in 6th gear accelerating from 70 and up.
Car acclerates fine and I think the feeling is from a mount issue but it could be the motor.
Engine was recently(less than 2K miles) removed for turbo replacement. It was leaked down and checked over so no problems there.
Before I pony up for new O2's I'd like to see if there are any other things to check.
They did check the ignition amplifiers and those were good. Doubt 3 coil packs went back all on one side.
Thanks!

Check to see if the plugs on thatn side look any lighter in colour.
You sound as if you are on this side of the Atlantic UK, rather than US?

There are two that are identical, but one controls RHS and the other controls the LHS (brown plug and black plug. If you have VAG-COM, you can actually swap the connectors to switch them and then see if your misfires switch sides. These little circuits/amplifiers are pretty expensive if you have to replace them.
Has the engine been modified, chipped, etc.? I've personally dealt with misfires at idle on my B5 S4. The result was a bad exhaust cam and lifters. Most likely due to improper oil flow and possibly hot shutdowns?
Hope this helps.<ul><li><a href="http://www.kendrish.com/galleries/S4/lobes/">pics of bad cam causing misfires at idle</a></li></ul>

Amplifiers were fine.
Car has been well cared for, easy driven.
My vagcom will be here hopefully today but we did swap the amplifiers and the misfire continued on one side.
Pulling the covers is easy enough so maybe I'll check them out if i can't find something quickly.

Actually I'm in Michigan ![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
I'll put a FP gauge on it and see. The car was just chipped and the misfires seem to be more at idle not under load.
