Default 2.8 coolant leak

Hi to everyone. I'm new here. Looking for some solution on my coolant leak 2001 A6 2.8.I'm sorry for a bit long intro but will show a full picture for better diagnose. About 3 months ago found coolant leak on front " oil pan area" .Diagnose was correct and ended with replacement wp,thermostat, timing belt. After 3 monts and 4500 milles I found significant oil leak in same area . Yes I was pised . Front crankshaft seal is bad and I have to remove a timing belt again. This time I wanted be smart and dicided to replace cams seals ,chain tensioner gaskets and valve covers gaskets.Problem fixed but ! The new arrived ,coolant leaks around and from alernator.Firstly I was suspecius a short hose running from( after run pump) to thermostat housing was in bad shape so I replaced.Did not help with leaks. When looking under the hood and squise(pumping) coolant hose near expansion tank I can hear"hssss" sound coming out under coils.I removed bracket and coils and see no coolant supply in the area. Now is Your turn my Friends. Thanks

Get some black-light fluorescent dye for coolant. Put it in the coolant tank, fill up the tank, run the car for awhile and find the leak.

I see the area where coolant coming from . The alternator is wet , so the fluid must come out from above . But I don't see any coolant supply there. I guess I have to pull out the alternator.

As you can see in the photo above, it would likely be something related to the thermostat housing, since it sits right above the alternator.

Just gotta get in there and see, I guess..

I suspect you'll have better luck removing the bumper cover and putting the carrier into service position so you can get at the thermostat area. You'll end up removing the TB. If it has less than 30K miles on it go ahead and put it back in..if it has more than 50K just do a TB service as well.

I've had the misfortune of having to replace a thermostat after a TB service warranty has run out....

It was my guess too but the hosing is dry. I think I have pull the front out for better observation.

For the 2.8L engine, the only block drain is located on the rear of the block, driver's side, near the bell housing. It is a socket head cap screw (SHCS) that is in a vertical recess.

If no other pipes or connection in the area , most likely thermostat pipe failure
