I have a buddy who needs new turbo's on his 2000 A6, I am recomending he goes with the K04's but anyone know of good deals, and tips on the install. I know I have seen DIY's in the past but I can't seem to find them.
does the engine have to come out, or can you drop the sub frame? any tips and tricks or things to look out for will be great!
any links to DIY's?

yea, i know I have seen some really good ones but just came up blank and didn't find what I was remembering. Also for those who have done the 2.7, I know some say to just pull motor and others have said to take engine and tranny out together which I really don't want to do. I also have heard some say to drop the sub frame. for those who did their turbo's what did you do and how did it go?

i understand one of the biggest issue may be the exhaust bolts??????

Check the B5 S4 forum or the tech section. Turbo failures are so rare here that there is probably no write-up for C5.

honestly, you need to ask your buddy what he wants out of the car, K04s are a waste if hes not going to do the accompanying mods. rebuilt k03s should last another 100K+ miles and cost less then 600
