Default 2000 A6 4.2 Sport?

I'm currently speaking with an auto broker about a 2000 4.2 with the Sport Package. According to what I have found, the Sport Package was not available on the 4.2 in 2000. Is this true, or did Audi make a mid-year change? Thanks for any info.

Default I guess you could get the build date for it... that might help

I am pretty sure mine (Early build 2000) doesn't have it. I do have the 17" wheels though. My seats have the seams running vertically. I think the sport seats have the seams running horizontally but am not sure.

Default Same with the 2.7T...sports package consists of seats, wheels,

and tires. My early '00 (Sept.'99 build-date) 2.7T was ordered with the sports package.

Default My early build '00 4.2 only has pie plates. For some reason I think late build '00 4.2 could have..

sport package. Which included seats, suspension, and wheels

Default Seat stitching is no indicator. Audi had 3 different styles of interior (Atmospheres)

and each had different styles of stitiching. Vertical stitiching indicates the Ambition interior with steer hide, glossy walnut trim, and firm seat padding. Light wood and softer calf skin with horizontal stitiching indicated the Ambiente interior. Pebbley water buffalo leather with walnut and horizontal stitiching indicated the Advance interior.

Default The car should sit lower, have the machined 5 spoke wheels, and sport seats. Late model '00 could

have it.

Ask the broker to look at the build sticker which should be in the spare tire well in the trunk. If I recall correctly, the code for the sport package is PPS. If the build sticker is not there, you should be able to check with AoA for a build sheet - so long as you have the vin#.

Default I have an early '01 with sport package - I was smitten with the car when I saw

a new '00 with sport pkg on the lot of my dealer around sept of '00. I then marched in and ordered a new one on the spot, which delivered as an '01 2 months later.

Default I have a 2000 4.2s, the first one in California, I was told. Didn't even know what the wheels...

...would look like until the car came off the truck. They made it. I ordered it November 1999 and got it in March 2000.

I love this car.

Default Can you run the VIN through Audi?

This should give you the info on all the options shipped on the car at mfg.
