2001 2.8 p0441. Suggestions?
I did a small research on p0441 something about a evap leak. How do i go about finding it? And what are some symptoms that it will bring to the car? Bad mpg? I have 90k on my 2.8 fwd. 2001. Thanks

Usually comes on after a fill up. after running about 40 miles check engine light comes on but goes off after a while. But the code is always stored in the ecu.
The previous owner was telling me about how he changed the gas caps rubber gasket with a gasket off a gas cap he bought from autozone. maybe the 2 gaskets are not compatible? would a bad gas cap cause this? i asked him why he did that and he said he wanted to keep the original gas cap because it looks more sturdy than the one cheap one he bought.
