Does anyone know if any other year A6 4.2 cluster fits the 2001 A6 4.2? My cluster has missing pixels and it is bothering the hell out of me. Is the mileage on a used cluster adjustable? What does the immobilizer have to do with the cluster. I own a Ross VagCom.

go to Ross Tech's website for information about the Immobilizer (www.ross-tech.com), which is incorporated into the instrument cluster. This might not be easy to program without the SKC (Secret Key Code). Without that code, I do not believe you can program the Immobilizer.

it was removed from. 2001 had immobilizer that will require programming new cluster to computer and key. Can be done provided you acquire a code (master code for vehicle?) from dealer. I remember reading that it was not an easy task to get it. New or reman clusters can be programmed to any mileage.
