Hi everyone,

One of the Audi dealerships local to me has a 2001 A6 4.2 for sale with 2100 miles on it. Asking price is 49,995.

Can anyone tell me if this is a fair price for this car. If not, what the target price should be? I live in the metro Philly area if that helps.

What options are on it? Or what's the sticker price? Most important why does it have the miles on it? If a demo, you may want to think twice, especially if it has the sport option!

My understanding is that it was a demo car.

would therefore, suggest against this demo at this price. My new (17 mile) 4.2 was $300 more for everything except the phone, nav, CD changer. The only advantage to your deal, potentially, is that if it is technically "used" (changed ownership), you avoid the $500 luxury tax. Wouldn't do it, you want to know that the break-in period was done correctly and there weren't 100 smelly people driving your car before you.
Get a new, untouched one for about the same price. One to your liking should not be that difficult to find that is "incoming".
