Default 2001 Changeover Date and ESP

I e-mailed audi a few weeks ago about the availability of ESP on the 2.7t. Today I got a phone call from a person at AoA and he informed me that the ESP was going to be standard equipment on the 2001 2.7t and also that production of the 2001 2.7ts would begin in week 18.This would be in May. I explained to him that I had ordered a 2000 a month ago and he said my dealer should be able to change over the order to a 2001, even though there isn't a 2001 spec and order sheet out yet. I put in a call to the dealer but he hasn't responded yet. We'll see. I would love to have this feature on the 2.7t and would be willing to wait if my salesperson can do it.

What status should my order be in about 1 month after placing it?

That makes sense--I know that the changeover date for the TT is Week 18 for those 2001 models, and also when ESP will be produced on them. That's great if this is true, better than waiting till August to place the order!

This confirms what my dealer told me yesterday. He also said that 17in wheels would be available on the A6 2.7t for 2001.(and not part of the 2000 PSK package as I originally understood).

Any other news or pictures of 2001 model changes, please post them!

Default Only if the dealer has the order code

As a dealer, we get orders kicked back if the codes are not right. Hopefully the code will remain 1AT as it is on the V8s.

1 month into the order should put it in late B to early C status. Your dealer must move immediatly to ensure that the car will be changed. Late C status is too late.

Normally we get an update fax of any changes to the order process. Haven't seen one. Will look into that.
