2002 A6 2.7T 5A (3924 lbs.) vs 2001 A6 2.7T 5A (3836 lbs.) - Difference?
What's the difference between this years model and the next to justify the 88 lbs. differential? Thicker glass?

Audi's are weighty, but adding features adds weight. Look at it this way...
Audi doesn't use cheap plastic materials for weight control, they go all out. Plus, having all that weight gives you more momentum in case someone hits you. And lastly, it makes the car cheaper per pound!! Having Quattro is a plus, but the weight does diminish performance to a certain degree. Hey, at least noone can say that their car weighs more than yours unless they have the bigger German Cars (S class, 7 series, or A8, or an SUV! Although, the A8 and A6 4.2 are virtually the same weight, but the A8 has more aluminum than the A6 4.2, and the A6 4.2 has more aluminum than the others A6 models.
