Default 2002 A6 Avant Pricing

About ready to pull the trigger on a 2002 A6 Avant quattro w/ the typical Premium/Conv/Lux package. Selling price around 6.0-6.5% above invoice typical? What's everyone's experience with the 99-01 MY? TIA

Default Probably ~midway between invoice and MSRP...

The dealer doesn't have a whole lot of incentive to discount too much...they are not a hot seller, but they are also a limited production, so they usually don't have a whole bunch stacked up in the lots. So, I'd start a little under half-way and go from there...what's a few hundred overall in the price of a $40k car...if that's the car you want...not worth tons of hassle.

Good luck, enjoy...the Avant is cool...despite what those "lame-o's" below say

Default One of the 1st sites I tried.

Their figures were right around 8.5%-9% as configured. Site was pretty useful when I was looking for my S4 last summer. Just wondering what everyone else's experience, that's all. The market for the Avant is really smaller than the sedans, it seems. Did a search on the Audi site for used MY 99-00 ones and there were less than 10 within 500mi of my zip code. Not too concerned re resale as I tend to keep family car longer than my "toys".

Default Damn! We got a good deal on the S6...TMV is $2600 OVER MSRP!

We paid $750 under...maybe TMV is a little inflated...MSRP should probably be the real number.

Dealer offer close to $900 under Edward's TMV, FWIW. Anyway, they've treated me well with my previous purchases & service. Congrats on your car BTW. Love that amulet red. Cheers.

Dealers are lucky to get 1 a month in allocations. Most prefer the Allroad for bigger profit margins

SF area average is approx 3K over invoice - about $500 off MSRP. This for 3.0

Default April would know better, but with the 3.0, it seems deals are not as good as last year, and the ...

avant has been rarer on the Audi lot than the sedan. Edmunds TMV shows that there are not great deals on Audis right now. Here in Indy, it is tax time and the dealers pay tax on anything in stock, so you could get a better deal. I am not sure what it would be like where you are.
