I bought a 2003 avant 6 months ago, 25K miles, abosolutely perfect from Audi dealership, paid $31K. Located in Pacific Northwest. Not sure if that was a good price or not, but it was the only certified silver not-allroad wagon I could find on the west coast so I probably paid too much.

My guess, 22-24K
I believe I saw a couple in the Sunset ad here last week or two for around 24, that's CPO as well.
For that car, I'd be happy at 20-22, depending on the region.
I've seen several 2.8 C5 Avants on the private market for 16-18, so given the warranty, the mileage, and the 3.0, that's my relative guess.
