So I was on the freeway today, and some kid had a brand new WRX, I know my cars pretty good, and I am fairly certain that is what it was, it was the 4 door sedan edition. I rolled up next to him and looked him dead in the eyes, he gassed it right away and popped my A6 into Sport mode and took off, and to my surprise I didn't only pass him, I actually flew by him! He looked at me, then his speedometer and put his hands up in a "WTF" fashion. DID I really beat this WRX? I didn't expect it but.. damn it felt good. I know on paper the Audi beats it all over.

I wondered that myself, I was pretty shocked when I passed him. I know the WRX is pretty damn quick, especially off the line.

Are you sure the "kid" wasn't just driving a regular Impreza?

In any case, stage 1 tune and you have a chance to run even.

It was the WRX, I saw it on the rear bumper. I talked to my buddy who owns one, he says that when he does have little races, he rarely looses and says "I try to avoid Audi and BMW, you never know what your dealing with!" He's a funny kit, but I love his WRX, sucker is fast as hell off the line.

There was this one time when my completely stock 2002 Allroad 2.7T completely hosed a Saturn V rocket. He just didn't know what to say. Of course, even if he did know what to say I wouldn't have heard him: by 400 metres I was going faster than the speed of sound.

Although he had the last laugh. The Allroad has a pretty big cargo area but I couldn't quite carry 120 tonnes to low earth orbit.
