2002 front bumper cover on 2000 A6 2.7t
I searched the whole forum a few times, but couldn't find a straight forward answer...
will the 2002 front bumper install on a 2000 A6? meaning are the mounting points the same? will it flow with the 2000 front fenders? and if it will, do i need new hood/grille/headlights to make it work/look right?

The reason you can't get a straight answer is because you are asking several different questions:
2002 front bumper install on a 2000 A6? Yes
meaning are the mounting points the same? Yes
will it flow with the 2000 front fenders? Yes
and if it will, do i need new hood/grille/headlights to make it work/look right? Depends on what "right" is to you
What you really want to know:
The 02 bumper will not fit unless you convert to full facelift

search it has been answered many times
It will possibly fit, but Audi A6 had facelift done in 2002 where they change headlights, bumper, hood, and fenders
so if you manage to fit you will have gaps along where front grill sits, as on facelift the grill is wider the on pre-facelift.

Something not mentioned is that the 4.2 parts are different. The hood is around 2" longer, etc. If you're going to do it you'll need the 02 core support, hood, grille, bumper, and headlights. Make sure they come from a v6 if your's is a v6, or a v8 if your car is a v8.

Learned something new, although I have to say that gap between the 4.2 fender and 2.7T hood is nowhere near 2 inches.
Looked up exterior dimensions on model guides, and indeed, the 4.2 is 1.4 in longer overall.

You gotta figure nothing was bolted on in that picture either. The finished pics showing the spacers he made for the frame rails show them lengthened about 1.5" (so 1.4 sounds about right).
Just saying, you'd be VERY disappointed if you bought 4.2 parts for your v6 car.
