Default 2003 Audi A6 2.7T P0741 Code

I understand what this code means and that it could be something as simple as having low trans fluid. What I would like to know if anyone has had this code on their car and if there was any for sure fix other than replacing the torque converter. I just bought this car like a week ago and this is my first audi so far not too happy... However the car seems to drive & shift just fine... Any idea welcome. Thanks. Also this car sat in a field for a little over a year until last week. (car was T-boned and never finished fixing, this is where I come in) Also the radio does not turn on and the fuse cavity labeled "radio" is empty and has no connections to it from the factory???? Any clues on this would be great also. I do have the theft code written in the manual if I get that far.

You can check trans fluid and pull trans codes, but you probably need a torque converter.

Does this mean that the torque converter is not locking up at all or just that it is not within the time window that the computer considers normal operation. I have not driven the car after I checked the code and could not really tell you if the lockup was working or not didn't pay that close of attention after it was in 5th gear and watch for the rpm to drop.

Generally, these failures are related to an internal seal failure in the torque converter. Audi warns that failure to address the issue can cause damage to the transmission.
