Default 2003 Audi A6 XMSN Hard Shift

I've taken my car to a couple different stealerships, but they cannot seem to diagnose this issue. Anyway, in the mornings after a cold start, when I shift into reverse the the car violently shifts after about 2-3 second delay. Now I understand that the car's revving higher during a cold start, but to shift as hard as it does...I don't think its right. It feels as the transmission is falling out of the car. Any ideas would greatly be appreciated. I haven't changed the fluid or filter since I am not too savvy with the special procedures. Thanks again.

Are they sharing any codes?
Have you had the trans fluid and filter serviced?
What engine/trans (Qt or CVT) and how many miles on the car?
What is XMSN?

Start there. And if you can't, take it to a shop that can.
