2004 A6 2.7T Q power steering fluid
I over filled the power steering fluid reservoir. is that going to be a problem? the overfill amount covers the bumpy part of the dipstick toward its top.
thanks for your time

You need the mineral oil based stuff so you don't damage the seals or pump. Pentosin is the brand-name and O'reilly's normally has it. If you prefer you can order online from various aftermarket that carry Euro stuff. (Blau Parts, AutohausAZ, etc)

URGENT HELP NEEDED
Hello to all, I own an Audi A6 (2003 Japanese Import), the situation is I live in the Caribbean, and there are NO stores here which carry the pentosin fluid, my best bet is to order of amazon which will take a some time to get, is there any alternative I could use. We are in 2017 and no one have developed a fluid that is compatible with pentosin?

Thanks for reply
Thank you for your reply, trust that it is appreciated. I also would like to ask would the Japanese import also come filled with the pentosin from the factory and while I understand the due respect paid to caution in this situation, besides the pentosin, absolutely nothing else would work?

Using the wrong stuff will most likely ruin a lot of parts in the P/S system, seals, hoses, the pump, etc. You may be able to substitute another oil. It would need to be mineral oil based, and equivilent viscosity. Having said that you will still be taking a chance on damage. It should be available at a German car dealership but will be more costly than after-market.
