2004 A6 3.0 tune up
I was wondering about other than the obvious items to check and change, what other things might help performance and just be good to update.
The car has 90000 miles, I have owned it for about 3 months and I don't know what all has been done to it as far as tune up goes.
I plan on doing the following:
Oil, oii filter, air filter, spark plugs, fuel filter
Please throw ideas out at me if you would. Thanks in advance.

"Tune up" is an outdated term. Car ECU's make most of the adjustments once considered part of "tuning"...and they make them continuously, on the fly.
"Maintenance" is was you need to know about. And with a 3.0, there is plenty to do at 90k. I'd start with a full timing belt service and a trans fluid and filter change.

TB services...$$$
If you don't know what has been done to it, it probably hasn't had a timing belt service. Check the VIN with an audi dealer and they may be able to pull the service records, if any.
This includes TB, water pump, idlers, idler tensioner, serp belt, serp belt idlers and tensioner.
If it were my car and this many miles on a used car, I would also pull the oil pan and clean it out put it back...you'd be surprised at the gunk in the pan after 90K miles and 7-8 years...
You should also consider changing out the transmission fluid...it's not really lifetime...
Look carefully at the expansion tank...if it's cracked and discolored it's probably on its way out and will leak soon...they're relatively cheap to replace.
Flush the brake system with new fluid. I like ATE Blue racing fluid, NOT silicone (Do Not use DOT5!) because you can see it going through when the old stuff is all gone.
Consider changing fluid in front and rear and intermediate diffs.
Consider flushing/changing radiator/coolant fluid.
Check brake pads....2mm is minimum thickness...consider replacing if less than 3mm.
Battery...check electrolyte level, charge and load test and replace as necessary. If it's the original 2004 battery I'd consider replacing it now.
Check all the CV joint rubber boots on the front and rear axles. Front left seems to go fastest, but check them all. If they're cracked or badly checked, replace them before they go.
Dust and pollen filter..replace if you don't know when it was replaced.
sunroof slide rails...clean and lubricate.
Vacuum out the interior and shampoo the carpets.
Wash and wax the exterior.
