2011 3.0 - Sluggish Transmission
With about 700 miles on my new A6 3.0, I have to say I am less than impressed with the performance of the transmission. I am coming out of a 535 BMW, and the torque and responsiveness of that set up makes my A6 seem out of its league. I know there is a "learning" process as the tranny adapts to my driving style. Hopefully, that will happen quickly. So far, very disappointed. Someone please talk me off the ledge.

Just for grins, is the A6 in question a C6 (2011) or a C5 (3.0)?
IIRC the old 3.0 was tossed helluva far in favor of the then-new 3.2 FSI as the base engine of choice when the C6 was introduced like half a decade ago.

3.0T supercharged. So the real question is why did you buy the car if you felt it was sluggish compared to your former car? Did you take it for an extended test drive? Is this not performing the way it did when you test drove it? The A6 sedan is a heavy pig. Even with the 3.0T, it is not and agile car at all.
I've driven both the new 5 series and the new A6 3.0T, and I like them both, but for different reasons.

I also realize I posted this in the wrong subgroup.
