Incorrect. 4.2 & RS6 = wide body -- 2.8, 3.0, 2.7T = narrow body

Default 235/45/17 on 4.2 forged under 2.7T Fenders...

Mysterious "once in a blue moon" rub somewhere when I "Dukes of Hazzard" the car. Checked the fender liners and can not tell where the rubbing occurred because it is so slight.

Default Thanks for the responses...

It sounds like a toss up, but probably won't work on the B5 S4 Avus that I was thinking of tossing them on (7.5" wide).

I'm buying some 17x8.5 SSRs that were wearing these tires, and I thought if I got a good price on the tires maybe I'd try 'em out.

Doubtful that they'd fit on my S4, so I thought I'd try them on the wife's car to see how they fit/looked. It's never on a track so RA1s are overkill I guess. If the price is right...

I run Victoracer 255/40 17 on 17x8.5 SSRs on autocross, some miner rubing. Lower to 25.5"

they're almost slicks, so you wouldn't want to use them on the street in the rain.

Default Interesting. 255s did NOT fit on my car at all and the offset was out as...

... far as possible. When on the car the tire was pressed up against the upper control arm/spindle so tight you could not spin the tire at all.

I have to see 255s on a narrow body working 100%.

Default I was looking at putting Pilot Sport A/S Tires on mine...

What size would you recommend? I was thinking of 225/50's on the stock 16" wineglass rims, but this would obviously be slightely smaller in diameter, so would I just be better off getting 215/55's or 235/50s for example.
