Mysterious "once in a blue moon" rub somewhere when I "Dukes of Hazzard" the car. Checked the fender liners and can not tell where the rubbing occurred because it is so slight.

It sounds like a toss up, but probably won't work on the B5 S4 Avus that I was thinking of tossing them on (7.5" wide).
I'm buying some 17x8.5 SSRs that were wearing these tires, and I thought if I got a good price on the tires maybe I'd try 'em out.
Doubtful that they'd fit on my S4, so I thought I'd try them on the wife's car to see how they fit/looked. It's never on a track so RA1s are overkill I guess. If the price is right...

... far as possible. When on the car the tire was pressed up against the upper control arm/spindle so tight you could not spin the tire at all.
I have to see 255s on a narrow body working 100%.

What size would you recommend? I was thinking of 225/50's on the stock 16" wineglass rims, but this would obviously be slightely smaller in diameter, so would I just be better off getting 215/55's or 235/50s for example.
