These guys have always been my go-to for heavy duty charging systems. I have not looked at their website recently...

http://www.wranglernw.com/

BTW, 350A is ABOVE heavy duty. I'm not sure that kind of output is available from a automotive-type alternator. If they ARE available, you are NOT going to mount one in a A6 unless you leave the hood off and totally replace the belt drive system. The "puny" serp drive on an Audi will NEVER turn anyhting capable of that kind of current - ever. Have you seen the size of the belt drive on a HD truck used as an ambulance, for example ? THOSE alternators are only in the 200-250A range.

But. . . .good luck on your project <thumbsup>

I would call Dom 615-287-7991 at Iraggi Alternators. He should set you in the right direction or be able to build you one. I hope this helps you.

So, it's been over a year - what did you end up with, alternator wise ?
