my clear plastic invisishield (rock shield) pieces have yellowed out and also one side has tire skid marks from me running over a strip of shredded tire, the other day.
i was looking to take out that blacked out piece and noticed that the lower panel is indented in for the placement of these 3m clear materials.
i'm assuming i can purchase this from audi parts...any other sources for them? since fitment is of importance.
pch

I am having my car detailed in a couple weeks.
The detail shop is going to change them out with a Stoneguard-like material. I don't know if it will be actually from Stoneguard, but it should look a lot better than what I have, now.
Anybody have a clue why those films are there, in the first place. Why is there a need for protection in that spot? The area is indented?
Didn't realize that.

at least the piece on the bottom.
not the other (bigger) piece higher up.
i guess i'm not the only one with yellowed out films.

for applying the new film.
a simple job that takes at least 2hrs, I'd think.

The rock/spray film guards on my 00 are also yellowed...but on a silver car, at least mine, it's not overly noticeable.
