4.2 17" wheels on C5 2.7T / Brake replacement / Timing belt

I'm upgrading to the 4.2 "Fat spoke" wheels on my '00 2.7t, and want to make sure the stock size 255/40-17 tire fits with no rubbing. Any other suggestions? Do I need spacers?
I also need to replace the brake rotors and pads all the way around. I've found several OEM style replacement kits online. I'm not interested in slotted/crossdrilled/orbital rotors. Just a good OEM replacement.
I will be performing the 2.7t timing belt replacement. I've got 91k on it now, and it needs to be done. I plan on doing one of the complete kits that are avaliable. Who has the best kit? Are there any other tensioners or idlers that I can replace that are not included in the typical kit? I'd also like to do the serpentine belt, tensioner, and idler pulleys. I want everything rotational on the front of the engine to have new idlers and tensioners, to minnimize any future problems. Any suggestions?
I'm new here - thanks in advance for any info.

fit on Fat-fives. As for TB kits...ECS tuning is a good bet, but gunuineaudiparts.com, and Carson @ riversideaudi.com can give you great pricing on OE & OEM parts -

Rolling diameter of the 255-40-17 tire is actually slightly smaller than the 235-40-17 tire, but within tolerance (your speedo/odo will be 1.2% too fast)
If the tires are fine and come with the wheels, use them up, but then replace them when needed with 235-45-17 tires of your choice of brand/model. Or, if you are willing, just replace them with the 235-45-17 tires right now.

the 255/40-17 will fit (should fit?) and -- to correct BD (hey this is a first) its is slightly smaller than the 235/*45*-17 (not 235/*40*), whcih would be your best alternative. I would go with 235/45-17 BTW.
Many strongly recommend buying genuine audi tensioners and rollers for the TB kit. dont neglect the water pump and t-stat.
I did brembo OEM rotors and mintex pads on my S6. Perfectly fine. I got them from ECS, which people here either love or hate. I find them helpful.

I have stock suspension. I am just getting the rims with no tires on them, so I'll be purchasing new tires. I'd love to stay with the 255/40 if it will fit. What would the pro/con be to switching to the 235/45?
Thanks again for the info guys.
