4.2 steering boost mod?
I am thinking about buying a 4.2 and have a question about possible mods. I've read about a steering boost mod on the allroad forum where by simply pulling a relay, you are able to remove "extra boost", resulting in tighter, more true steering. This "extra boost" is, apparently, an option in Europe on the AR. Is there a similar relay in all A6's, most specifically the 4.2 or only AR?

Depends. My wife would kill if I pulled that fuse.
She likes the steering the way it is.

amazing.. who ever thinks it's too tough to steer at low speed, their wrong.. it only cuts..
the boost in about half.. The steering feels much more like a Mercedes.. I have a 68 dart w/ a 340 v8 with no power steering, now that's tough to steer at low speeds.. (power steering pump is getting installed this summer..
The relay is easy to pull out.. I say it's well worth trying..
