Default 4.2L Whipple Supercharger Kit on eBay - More info...

I've been emailing this guy, Josh, that has the A6 kit on eBay (and he also has a S6 kit on there as well that makes a stated 449hp). Even though you get a shaky feeling from his spelling and grammar (sorry Josh if you are reading this...) he seems to be saying the right things in response to my specific questions. Apparently, he has another tuner doing the ECU recoding and he encourages us 4.2 and S6 owners to visit to see his work. He doesn't yet have a website or documentation on the kit (big misake in my opinion- I would have that stuff in place before going public), but he said that is coming.

He worked with Toyota Atlantic (not sure what this means) since 1991. This is where he learned this stuff.

I suggest we get a small group of 4.2 and S6 owners together to make a trip to visit Josh. He is in Bethany Beach, Delaware. Are there any guys local to that area that would be interested in scouting the situation?

I know that if this is for real, I might be interested in a kit for my car. I think this is worth checking out.

What do you guys think?

Default Ask him if he has tested one yet and if so, how did the tranny hold up?

If this mod increases the HP and torque that much i'm wondering if the tiptronic can handle all that safely. Considering that the RS6 had to have a totally different beefed up tranny that barely handles that beasts output, this bears some looking into as well.

I thought about that as well... We'll have to pose that question.

It can handle the power... until it can't. I doubt he'll give you worthwhile info.
