Default 50K service, Danbury Audi

Just had 50k service done at Danbury Audi.

Prior to service had indie shop do and ispection.Cam seals/valve cover gaskets, Tranny tailshaft rear seal, coolant overflow, wiper blades.

Tires were wearing incorrectly, so they took a look and replaced the both tie rods.

All covered under warranty, and repairs completed in one day.

Service department has been great. All in all from purchase to service has been much better then past car purchases and service.

Default did you get an alignment with the replacement of those tie-rod ends? I assume so.

How is driving, handling etc now...on the highway?

thanks!

Yes, I left that portion out. Car is much tighter. I did not realize how loose the front end was compared to new tie-rods. Car tracks much better.

Default Good to hear. That's where I got my A6 from and where I go for service.

Which Indy shop did you use before you went in? What made you think to have another shop inspect it first?

Default I live about a mile from there and am very pleased with them

They did a head gasket replacement for me on my 4.2 last winter. So much nicer to deal with than Mohegan Lake Motors in NY.

Are either of you guys (tbl01 and kpereyra) planning to go to the Lime Rock Drivers school in June?

Ken, I used to work for your mom many years ago - at Connex. At first I didn't make the connection, but now I have. It's been a long time.

Regards,

Alan

Default Danbury Audi - Good Experiences with Sales and Service

I also purchased my 2004 A6 Avant at Danbury Audi in June 2004.

Sales located and obtained an Audi A6 Avant with the EXACT equipment that I wanted (from Clair Audin in Boston). Price was extermely attractive and below dealer invoice. (It was the end of the model year.) My initial Sales inquiry was via the Internet. The salesman, Art Marcus, was a pleasure to work with.

My (3) experiences with services (5K and 15K service; Symphony II Radio replacement) have been equally satisfying. The Service Manager (Roy) and the Services Advisors are both professional and helpful. I bring my own Mobil 1 for oil changes. They wash the car after Service (except when it is snowing).

Their new showroom has a work area with a wired connection to the Internet. I generally drop my car off at 7:30AM and have been done by 9 or 10AM. I have not yet has a loaner car, but it is always offerred.
