So when I had the full set of control arms, I also had the indy service the tranny- New filter, gasket, and fluid.
Additional Info: Don't know if the fluid had ever been replaced- So I am going to assume no: I had it replaced at 160k kms (About 100k miles)
Since the service I have noticed some hesitation in shifting, under very modest acceleration. Additionally if it's really quiet in the car- I can hear the tranny grinding above 2k rpm's - specifically in 1st gear.
I think he did not use Audi ATF, but a recommended 'universal' replacement that the dealer said was OK to use.(AMSOIL ATF? I think)
So at this point I am not sure if it is just not filled properly, or if the fluid is wrong- Checked them out and they are supposed to be OK for Audi and VW
Thoughts????

It may help, but it may not, depending. You're kind of on the "borderline" for the max fluid change interval (60-100k). Try the fluid change and see what happens. Make sure the old fluid drains out overnight.
