2.8 30v qttro
checker generic scanner just picked up these codes
cel light on for months.
just putting it back on the road to sell.
just passed emissions.
have done tons of work to it.
tb, water pump, new head gaskets etc due to a bad thermo
codes p1625 Data-Bus Powertrain Unplausible Message from Transm.Contr. P5
and p1749
not sure what to make of it since the tranny does not slip or shift funny in any way?
any clues what to think about this?
cel light on 2 days ago but scanner showed no codes. undid neg terminal and cel went out. drove for an hour, light came back on and now these codes????

dug up the carpet months ago thinking it was the culprit of being in limp mode but it was dry. since i've already cut the carpet i'll look again and post. no I did not clear the codes the "checker" scanner said it could not erase the codes...so?

well went out and checked the carpet under the floor mat and it's soaked! the sponge layering that you need to cut into to get out the unit is sopping with water. had a new windshield put in years ago and there must be a leak as I've noticed the area wet before.
had no idea it was this wet. pulled out the unit and it appears dry however. the plastic box is dry and there is no moisture present on the inside of the box either. unplugged the TCM and have it sitting in the sun anyway.
now what?
