Default Not too bad once you get the nose into service positon.

If you can get the nose into service position, you can handle the swap.

There are two different alternators for the 99, Denso and Bosch. You will need to remove the old one to correctly match the new one.

Default Kind of a pain...if checking oil is 1 and timing belt is 10, I'd say 7 due to the involvement...

...IIRC, you need to move the front clip out. If you didn't have to, it'd be a 3. HTH.

Default Depends on the size of your toolbox, and your DIY skills.

For me service position is a 2. for others, they won't even try. What have you done before?

For most people with decent tools: First time = 6, second time = 2.

Yeah. It really isn't all that bad... having air tools makes it even easier.

Default Why would you need air tools......it takes 6 10mm nuts, 6 8mm allen screws, and 2 10mm allen bolts

no air tools needed....just time and know how....follow the 2.7t timing belt guide for a complete bolt by bolt how to on removing the bumper and carrier for service position. that will get you face to face with your alternator.

Default I didn't say you NEED them. It cuts the time in half...

I guarantee my butterfly impact can zip the bolts out faster than you can with any hand tool.

I use air tools for anything I can, to save time.

oh, and the bolts around the lock carrier are TORX not allen.
