A6 1998 2.8 - Where is my ECT sensor? I know it is on the rear of the block, but where
is it blue? I have removed the intake and I think I know which "plug" it is, but how do I remove it?
Also, doing an Oil change - how does the Bosh filter paired with Mobil One sound to everyone? Or should I buy the Audi Filters? Also, our cars don't take more than 5 L right. (Momentary fear I didn't buy enough oil)

Thanks! Is it the AutoStore Bosch filter or does it have the "Audi" name stamped on there?
I need to spice up my posting headlines. I seem to attract very little attention with my technical questions. Maybe some pictures will help. Too bad no 3rd party sites host for free....
Also, my numbers could be down thanks to all my defection talk. I am sticking with my A6 until it falls apart or something falls into my lap. Sounds like the mantra for my life ...

lol!! Just saying Bosch is fine, in fact....
....Bosch, Mann and Mahle is what you want to use. The factory Audi filter will be one of those three brands (depending on year).
ECT is #3....

Don't believe everything you read :-) The car took...
...7 qts on Sunday and 7 qts the other 8 oil changes.
Guess it just depends what you read...this one doesn't agree with either amount....

6.3 qts doesn't fill mine. Only 7 qts does. Same thing with a lot of 2.7T's. Each car seems to be a little different...for whatever reason.
