Just got my windshield replaced with an aftermarket Sekurit model. Looks a bit short on the top and the bottom to me. I heard something about differences between 2.7 and 4.2 windshields. Are there different windshields for each model? Could I have a 2.7 windshield on my 4.2? Or is the aftermarket Sekurit just not as good as OEM?

The 6 and 8 cylinder cars have different part #'s for the windshield. BTW, Sekurit glass is OEM. The aftermarket just doesn't have the Audi rings. Same glass though.

....there will be a small gap on top but the bottom MUST fit under the black cowling - or you'll get major leaks.
They gave you a 2.7/3.o windshield.....
Do a search on my name and windshield - about a year ago.....I went through 4 windshields before they got the right one....

...or else you'll have major water leaks. The plastic cowling at the bottom seals the bottom of the windshield and keeps water from leaking in....
