Hi, I have an 2004 A6 with the Bose System. My drivers side rear door speaker is blown and I am getting 2 different stories from stereo shops where I live. One says can't run anything but the 2 ohm speaker from factory, which he quoted me an outrageous price for one speaker. Tthe other says I can run a 4 ohm but it will be less power and not as loud. I don't want to mess up my system!!!

Please help. If anyone is selling one of these factory speakers, please let me know because I would rather have the same equipment that came in the car.

Well I cant find a spec for the speaker in any of my info but its most likely a 1 or 2 ohm speaker and yes you can replace it with an after market speaker which will most likely be 4 ohm and it wont mess anything up but it wont be as loud and you will hear the difference or atleast i would somepeople dont really notice. but as far as messing up your system it should be fine. so either get a new oem speaker or go with a new aftermarket system. head unit, speakers, and amp if you want it.
