Default The 9000 turbo was a neat car, as long as you didn't get the automatic

The auto tranny was made by GM and failed regularly. The 900 turbo was also a neat if quirky car, just a pain to work on and be sure to replace the lambda sensor (it was upstream of the turbo and when it broke the pieces would destroy the turbo).

I have seen several Audi 5000 turbo quattros with over 400K miles. Mine has over 200K. The quality of those cars is pathetic next to the new Audis. Why am I going into this? I never said Saabs broke down. The new ones just feel plasticky and have truckloads of torque steer. I'd probably feel the same way about a Honda or Toyota, that doesn't mean that they are unreliable. Actually, I am impressed with the new Saab engines.
