Default Re: It's mpg is really no worse than most 2.7Ts and S4s, and better than the allroad

What are the current MPG estimates of the 2.7T and 4.2? audiusa.com doesn't have info on this...

Real world, my 2.7T gets about 18mpg to 20mpg, combined highway, non-highway.

Default 4.2 Feels more solid...

...and I hope that it's not just because it weighs more (~250 lbs.?), but it has different suspension components. I may be wrong here (and will surely be corrected if so! :-), but as well as having an aluminum hood (engine cover) and front fenders, I believe that some of the suspension (front only?) components are aluminum as well.

I drove both just a couple times and the choice was easy: 4.2 for me. I'll miss no manual trans., and don't like the goofy center seat in back, otherwise: Sweet!

BTW Everyone: I pick up my car at noon on Friday. Am taking the afternoon off to begin the break-in, and will be sure to take the digital camera. Four months wait....HERE IT COMES!

4.2 Silver/Black, Sport, Premium, Nav, Rear Airbags, CD Changer
