Default The only sticks for north America were the 2.7t in sedan and Allroad guise, and a very few 2.8 in 00

Sticks made up approx 6% of all A6 sold here, among all types.

Default yes and no

there weren't any 4.2 A6 avants in the states, for that you need to find either a S6 or a 4.2 allroad, though the S6 has a 32v 4.2 as opposed to the A6's 40v. both are quite uncommon (something like 1200 of the S6, I'm not sure about the Allroad, but they're hard to find at all, let alone at a good price.

Default The S6 had a 40 valve head just like other 4.2 V8s. It has special cams, exhaust, computer, and

gears, etc.

Finister! Good to see you around these parts! How's your S6 holding up?

Default Best to start with the very rare Euro V8 manual trans, available only on some early cars.

You will need to weld in a new pedal box, create custom portions of the wiring loom, and get somebody to program an engine ECU that works with all this, as the Euro ECU probably won't work in a North America car and hybrid wiring.

Default It's still awesome...although

some choad whacked the rear fender in a parking lot...and left, of course. Hasn't been fixed yet. Got the RS6 wheels fixed and painted...then they got curbed again! The kids have made a bit of a mess inside...but it still is a blast...only 60k and it hasn't had any problems except some suspension stuff...

I added a MB E320 Bluetec to decrease trips to the gas pump...although I think a Cayman S will be added soon...

The LR3 is awesome...love taking it into the desert...it goes everywhere and has been my most reliable vehicle ever!

How's California???

Been crazy busy...and not much time to spend thinking and living Audis...although I would love an RS4...and may replace the S6 when and if a Q5 Bluetec comes next year...

Hope everything is great with you...
