Default A6 4.2 died today ...
Was driving home from a 4 day trip when the check engine light came on and the car started shaking like we were going over tiny speed bumbs. Road Side Assistance came and flatbeded the car to the dealer. Dealer was great gave us a loaner (A4 1.8t). Anyways anyone have this problem? Car is about 5 months old, automatic, just went in for its first service last Tuesday, day before we started out on the trip.

Wonder if they forgot to add oil after changing the filter?

nope, checked the oil, was fine, self diagnostic checked out fine too,for an 80k car, it shouldnt be
