Default A6 4.2 sport 8spoke wheel on A6 2.7T

Hi everybody,
I have enjoyed reading all your comments and many of them are very helpfull.
I have a 2001 A6 2.7T 6sp non sport and would like to know if the A6 4.2 sport 8 spoke wheels will fit on my car?
A picture would be great too.
Thanks,
Udi

Default 4.2 8 spoke "sport" wheels? The sport wheels are forged 5-spoke...

Coincidentally, I'm having 4.2 5-spoke sport wheels installed on my 2.7T tomorrow morning. If you're referring to those, they look amazing. Best wheel avail. for the car IMHO...

Did you order the wheels from the dealer or another source?

Bought from a private party. Wheels are absolutely mint and were only driven 3 weeks.

If anyone wants to sell their 4.2 5 spokes with or without tires let me know.

Default What tire size are you going with? I bought some 5 spokers too, and

They came with 255 section width tires. I'm assuming they won't fit, but wondered what you decided on.

Default Bridgestone Potenza RE730's - 235/45-17's... (More)

The guy I bought these wheels from was running 245's and said that was the absolute widest you could go. He said those tires put you nearly right against the fenderwall, but 235's would put you inside the fenderwall.

He said there was no rubbing w/245's, but if he had to do it all over again, he would have gone w/235's...

Did you buy through a dealer/pay full retail for yours?

Default Nope. Bought them via Audiworld classifieds for $1500 with tires

which it now looks like I'll be selling.

They're P5000's anyway, so now I have the chance to go back to Dunlop SP9000.

I'm in Michigan, so I'm going to wait for another few weeks before I ditch the snow tires for the season.

Thanks for the info.
