I am in the middle of the steering rack replacement, anyways, got the tie rods off, lines and the 2 bolts on top that hold the rack into place. I cannot for the life of me gain access to the last bolt from below. I read the bently and the a8 techpages article and it says it should be accessible without removing the heatshields and the downpipes. I was thinking about buying a 90 degree 3/8 inch ratchet and doing it from the wheel well while using a butt endoscope for visualization. I have a lift so access is not a problem. Any help much appreciated.
