Hello Audi fans,

I did the TB & WP a second time at 165k, and in the process I lost some trans fluid (maybe 8oz lost) while the cooling lines were disconnected.

I know it is the original fluid as I've had the car since 66k.

I bought 1L Pentosin ATF1 fluid in order to replace the fluid lost in the transmission.

Is there a concern in mixing the old with the new?

166k on original fluid? Time to change the fluid and filter.

...and yes, you can add. Even a fluid change doesn't get all the fluid out. Changing the filter is the most important thing.

Have you ever checked/changed the diff fluid?

The trans fluid that came out was pretty clean, so at least I'm not expecting a failure soon.

If it is Original fluid, how clean do you think it is? And, how come it is so clean? You don't drive the car?
