a6 cd changer
Hi Guys-
I'm hoping you can help me. I just bought a 1998 A6 with the bose stereo system. I get home, and lo and behold, it looks like the magaine is missing from the cd changer in the trunk. I can't seem to find what brand the changer is, so I don't know where to get a replacement. Also...is it possible with my stock stereo to get a cd changer that plays cdrs/mp3's without changing the actual stock stereo system I have?
your help is really appreciated!
Denise

Re: a6 cd changer
It is possible to get another changer (i.e. one that plays cdrs/mp3's) without touching the stock stereo. There is a company called Blitzsafe that sells adapters that fit the A6 on one end and that vary on the other end depending on the device you want to use. I have one of these adapters and initially used it for a Pioneer 8 disc changer and have since hooked up a 80GB mp3 player. It's plug and play.

If your changer looks like this...
Then just buy a new CD magazine from the dealer or Audiusa.com. I think they retail for $29.<ul><li><a href="http://collection.audiusa.com/store/accessory.asp?parent%5Fcategory%5Fid=11&catego ry%5FID=49&subcategory%5FID=202&product%5F id=711">CD Changer from Audiusa.com</a></li></ul>
