A6 Front Bumper (Need some help)

The lot that I parked my A6 in today had a high curb in the front. When pulling the car out of the parking spot the front bumper got caught on the curb and was pulled out and up from underneath.
On inspection the bottom center of bumper underneath was pulled down (this is plastic). The screws in the wheel wells that hold the bumper to the car are in tact but the bumper has been ripped from them (also plastic). Now there is a noticeable space/gap where the bumper meets the front quarter panels of the car. Also the headlights seem to have pushed out and have a space where they meet the front quarter panels as a result of the bumper being pushed into them.
My question is has this happened to anyone on the forum before? What are the costs to fix? Should I go to the dealer or would a good body shop be able to do this cheaper? Also would it be a fix or a bumper replacement since it is plastic? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
TIA,

Mine cost $1200 to fix in SF, CA. It included a new bumper and paint. If you have more damage like head and fog lights, missing bottom air dams or even sometimes damaged radiator, then you look for insurance help as this may cause up to 4k!
Good luck and I feel your pain.

Well, my wife did actually, but it did in fact cost us $1000 to fix.
You can bet that we are really sensitive to curbs and parking lot barriers now...

Actually, a friend did it! I've never let anyone else drive it since! Insurance paid all but the $100.00 deductible. The whole bumper was replaced. It seems like it was right around $800.00 or so. Another car dealership's bodyshop, that my Audi dealership recommended, took care of it and did a great job.

My partner did it when the car was only a couple weeks old. Then did it again when someone left the steel rod that holds the parking barriers in place up above the top of the barrier. Now he knows to stay far, far away from those things
Cost about $850 at a good body shop.

You might want to check with them. Audi is aware that the bumper can "catch" over certain curbs, etc. They authorized on replacement for me. It's worth pleading your case.

I just got done replacing mine and recovering it with 3M film (that adds a bit to the price :-( ).
I had it done at the dealer's body shop for about $870 (not including the film).
It would seem that the car has a serious design flaw here.
