Can anyone give me a definite answer regarding this? I've searched the web high and low and cannot find anyone who knows for sure.

I work for a body shop in Korea, and a customer who has a 2004 RS6 came in with a front-end collision a few months back.

The guy doesn't have a ton of money, so wants to save as much as possible.

The headlights are both damaged, so we have to get new headlights.

Now, the problem is, OEM RS6 headlights are really expensive, and the owner does not want to spend that kind of money.

I suggested a set of Taiwanese made headlights that usually go for 200~400 on eBay.

I'd seen on eBay that they advertise the same headlights as fitting A6, S6 and RS6.

Now, wiring is not a problem, and HID is a non-issue. If the wiring is incorrect, we can just modify that.

The problem is, will the actual A6 headlight fit an RS6, or are they totally different in shape or size?

We actually bought a set of headlights from a factory in Taiwan, we ordered the facelifted A6 headlights, and they sent us the older version. The lights didn't fit at all. I talked to them about this, and they are adamant that the older 97+ headlights and the face lifted headlights are physically exactly the same with only different wiring, so if the ones we got didn't fit, the 02+ lights would not fit either.

If anyone has any definite info about this, please help.

'02+ A6 4.2 and S6 bi-xenon HID headlights are the exact same headlights that the RS6 uses and the part numbers for all three V8 models' headlight assemblies are:
4B3 941 003 K (left)
4B3 941 004 K (right)

Don't waste your time with V6 model headlights of any model year because they won't fit.
