I have noticed that the drivers seat seems warm lately. I took it to the dealer for some air conditioning problems and mentioned that I thought the seat was comming on. They had the car a few days and fixed the Ac but were unable to find anything wrong with the seat. Maybe I an just imagining it. I turned it on and I could notice it warmed up more.

Is there an easy way to disble the heated seat function like maybe pulling a fuse?

Mine seemed like it was doing the same thing. The fuse also runs a whole bunch of other stuff, but I actualy had the dealer pull the switch out and disable the sensor in the seat. So the chances of it still coming on - like a short somewhere in the seat - was pretty unlikely.

The only ones who seem to be complaining about this are big guys like me - where we fill in the space between the bolsters and the seat completely.

It may be that the leather and the padding bedind it, since it has no air holes and very shallow stiching, just holds heat in. It seems as if it matches my body temp excatly.

Like you, I thought it was attributable to the cold weather package's heated seats at first. But, I noticed that if I turned the heat on, the seat got noticeably warmer and attributed it to the heat retentive quality of the seats.

My new 4.2 has the warm weather package, rather than the cold weather package. Hence, no heated seats. They still seem to get noticeably warm from time to time. And these are the Recaros that come w/ the sport package. If there are a few of us out there, including yourself, who find the seats feel too hot, and do not allow enough air to flow this is a DESIGN FLAW, not my imaginiation.

It is amazing to me the reaction to some of the issues on this board!!
