Default A6 lower door trim

The lower door trim on the front left door of my A6 2.7T is separating from the white plastic strip strapped to the door. Does anyone know how to remove the trim and plastic strip? Once removed, I should be able to clean it up and reseal the outer shell of the trim to the white plastic piece.

Thanks!

Default If the door "blade" (lowest part of the door) then here is how it is removed...

this from an install of the S6 lower door blades, but the post here has detailed photos of the two screws that you have to remove...

door blade removal

Default I'd like to add that I had 4 screws break on mine...

...all from the rear portion of the trim pieces, hmm. No big deal, since I was replacing them anyhow, but you have to pull out on the trim piece just enough to clear the croken screw stud from the door body. If you're going to reuse your doorblades, a broken screw could cause a problem; you need it to keep the trim pulled close to the door AND to keep it from walking/falling off. HTH.

Thanks for your help Boston Driver! Much appreciated. The instructions were perfect and it really did only take about half an hour. The blade is starting to rust so I'll be shopping for a new one soon (at least now I now what it's called!)
