I recently purchased a used '2000 A6 2.7 quatro. Love it. I have many questions but will start with the terribly inadequate security alarm. The sounder sounds muffeled and probably is bad. It appears to eminate from the left rear quarter panel. How does one get access to it for removal and testing and could the alarm be wired into the vehicles horn circuit?
Also, how does one remove the cup holder from the dash? Thanks for your help.

check the tech articles about the cup holder...you could consider buying a siren and re wireing
