If you have the sport A6 I would not recomend stiffer (aftermarket) bar unless you track it often. S4 guys do this and have problems with broken or cracked mounts.

Although, it was installed at the same time as springs and konis, so these may also have provided some additional influence on the overall balance of the car.

brian 4.2 is right-on. For the non-sport upgrade to the OEM sport sway bar. Don't forget to order the bushings too.
