Having issues with my brakes...seems like the brake pressure doesnt release after the pedal is released. Drove the car home this morning finally after 2 attempts. I pulled the ABS fuse and had no issues.
Anyone else have issues with the ABS and pull the fuse? I know its not as safe as with the ABS, but everything else should still be functional correct?
I have a abs controller to replace it on the way.
Thanks in advance for any input!

...aside from not being able to steer, will I have any issues?
How do you know the ABS controller is at fault? The ABS system controls more than just the ABS. Have you had any brake work done recently? Any other work? What does your VAG-COM say?

VAG says:
01435 - Brake Pressure Sensor 1 (G201)
18057 - Powertrain Data Bus: Mising Message from ABS Controller
response from earlier post is that its the ABS Controller...

I could only get my car a couple of miles before the brake pressure would completely stop the car. After a couple of hours the pressure would release and I could drive it a little further.

Oh, for the old days. My '91 100 has a handy ABS on/off switch. Sometimes it gets flaky and turns off by itself (at least it shows as off. It also has an oil pressure gauge which my A6 doesn't!
