AC Fan failure... Possible to rig up temporarily?

Is the dreaded rubber trim piece lodged in the fan?
This will usually blow out the controller, but it will generally work again after pulling out the rubber trim piece. If this is the problem, a flashlight is the only tool you should need. It's pretty obvious once you shine the light down there.
However, when the fan controller goes out, it usually kicks the other fans into high speen all the time and it sounds like an air raid siren.
