Hey guys,
so I just went for a ride in my 04 a6 3.0 quattro, and I quickly realized that my headlights and turn signals were not working as well as my AC and my wipers... I read a few posts about the same kind of problems and the ignition switch comes up a lot in these forums. Do you guys have any idea what it might be? I'm heading to the dealership right now to see if they have any idea...

Ignition switch is most likely, followed by x relay.

Update: The horn doesnt work too, hazard are working...

Thanks for the reply. what do you mean by x relay? And how much do you think it will cost if we assume it is the ignition switch and the xrelay?

It's not "and"; it's "or".
The ignition switch is cheap...unless you pay someone to install it.

Right... Is it difficult to install yourself? How much time?

You were on the way to the dealeship and dnoticed to horn didnt work ? youlive in Ny ? lol

i could go 5 years without realizing the horn didnt work .. however i am divorced now so dont need it to signify " hurry up we are late" ..

I went 5 days once without realizing it didn't work…after some collision work I realized they didn't replace the horns….I took the car to the Audi dealer and told my insurance agent….about $1800 later all was well because there was 'stuff' the collision shop…a good shop in past cases, BTW… had missed.
There is a lot of aluminum on an S6…and it generally has to be replaced rather than repaired.
